Gunslinger Generator and final update before edit stage; update to v0.15


I’ve just released the first iteration of the We Deal in Lead Gunslinger Generator! This is a website that will randomly generate a new gunslinger every time you refresh the page:

This is building on the work I did for the Runecairn character generator.

This will be the last update before I hand the draft over to Fiona for editing. If you spot any issues, please continue to raise these in the playtest feedback thread.

Once the first edit pass is done, I’ll start the layout stage (something I’m really excited for — legitimately). Progress is good and I can’t wait to see the final result!

v0.15

  • Changed Defence to DEF in multiple locations
  • Updated Converting Adventures section to include guidelines
  • Added Revalc Box (reverse alchemy) to Relics section; turns gold into Lead
  • Updated Travel into and outside the Drifted World section to mention Revalc Box
  • Changed harrier to bandit in Background
  • Changed coffee to small
  • Changed handle to grip for gun embellishments
  • Updated reinforced leather jacket to be bulky

Amazing!!! Curious is your generator code open source / on GitHub? 

Edit: I got the rook skull on my first gunslinger. 

Yup, I’ll be opening the source code for the gunslinger generator soon, but in the meantime I built mine from Yochai Gal’s Cairn generator, code available here:
