Gunsmithing and Steel Resolve, update to v0.12


Big update today on from a series of playtests. The most exciting development is the introduction of Gunsmithing. Track down an elusive gunsmith who can repair, modify, or forge artefact guns.

As well, gunslingers can now draw upon the magic in their guns to steel their resolve once per day in combat, regaining Grit and allowing you to stay in the fight.

  • Added Gunsmithing section (repair, modify, forge artefact guns)
  • Added Steel Resolve ability to The Guns of a Gunslinger section
  • Updated Guns of a Gunslinger section for clarity and moved under Combat -> Gunslinging
  • Moved Special Attacks section to Gunslinging and updated for clarity
  • Updated Fatigue & Deprived section and updated for clarity
  • Updated bullwhip to use range rather than feet for distance
  • Updated Give it Both Barrels in Special Attacks section
  • Updated Combat Example to expand on healing Grit
  • Added note to Gunslinger Creation around whether or not the character is from the Drifted World
  • Updated Ammo and Reloading section for clarity
  • Updated Misfire section to differentiate between damaged and ruined guns
  • Added explanation of magical nature of artefact guns in The Guns of a Gunslinger section
  • Changed pass to succeed in relation to saves
  • Removed d12 from Scars table and updated Rattled entry
